I was recommended Mr Paul Jairaj’s name by an acquaintance who had a hip replacement surgery done by him with an outstanding outcome.

My name had been placed on the NHS waiting list for a revision surgery on my right knee.  I had suffered from acute pain, balance disorder, grinding sound and discomfort since my knee replacement in 2016, in a private hospital in Kent.

The thought of a revision surgery was unbearable for me due to my personal experience of the initial knee replacement.

I then decided to seek a second opinion and made contact with Mr Jairaj.

After the initial consultation and a couple of tests, Mr Jairaj suggested further investigations (scans etc). The most impressive point for me was that he wanted to explore every other option before even mentioning the word ‘surgery’.

I had mentioned to Mr Jairaj that I was also seeing an Osteopath who was helping me to strengthen my muscles in the right leg. Mr Jairaj then went an extra mile to contact my Osteopath (with my consent) to talk about my scan report and discuss the specific work on certain muscles. My Osteopath and I were so pleased by his holistic and patient centred approach which surely is so important for the patient’s wellbeing.

Mr Jairaj’s professional advice and help has been invaluable. I am now working with my Osteopath and making good progress. I am able to enjoy my social life again and the discussion for a revision surgery has been left aside for now.

I shall always support the idea of holistic assessments and there is no reason why different professionals cannot work together.
