Articular Cartilage Repair

I consulted Paul in the fall of 2022 after suffering from a debilitating form of osteochondritis dissecans to the right knee for close upon six years. As my situation was steadily worsening I needed urgent surgery but, unfortunately, none of the surgeons I consulted in Belgium would offer me any solution which didn’t involve opening up the entire knee and cutting through all the tendons in order to apply mosaicplasty – a surgical option and technique which didn’t appeal to me for a number of reasons, including its invasiveness.

I met Paul through my London based brother and I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and his suggestion for a non-invasive repair operation practiced through arthroscopy rather than full open knee surgery. I was operated upon in October 2022 and, as I didn’t want full narcosis, Paul arranged for me to receive epidural anaesthesia, meaning I was fully awake and conscious throughout the operation.

Not only was the operation an overwhelming success, but I was (and shall forever be) highly impressed by Paul’s impeccable professionalism, kindness and precision, having guided me through the operation even as he was at work on my knee, step by step, from beginning to end. I cannot recommend Paul’s superb skills warmly enough to anyone looking for a non-invasive solution to orthopaedic conditions requiring surgery.
