Total Hip Replacement Surgery

After many years of sporting activities including football, tennis, golf and karate, in early 2013 aged 52 I developed an intolerable pain around my right upper thigh area which coupled with ongoing and long term lower back problems lead me to a physiotherapist who having watched me walk suggested that my problems were a symptom of the same cause being noticeable leg length difference, causing bow leg walking action resulting in the regular back pain and now a damaged and probable arthritic right hip.  He had no hesitation in referring me to Paul Jairaj, in whom he had the greatest faith that he could end my suffering.  I made an appointment and was immediately put at ease with Paul’s confidence and reassuring manner that a custom-made hip replacement would likely correct the leg length and end the agony, subject to MRI scans confirming the damage he suspected, which, of course, it did. The operation was a resounding success, to the extent that after leaving London Bridge hospital three days after, I required nothing stronger than paracetamol.  Mr Jairaj indicated to me with unerring accuracy when he might be seeing me again to correct the years of joint damage I had encountered.
